an ordinary story
I made this conceptual poster for the play «An Ordinary story» written by the Russian classicist Ivan Goncharov in 1847. In 2015 Kirill Serebrennikov @kirillserebrennikov produced a modern staging of this play at the Gogol Center, adapting it to contemporary Russia. Even if I used bright colours in this poster, the reality is rather chaotic, deceptive and changeable, like a child’s kaleidoscope. The ugly is always hidden behind beautiful, bright packaging, and when you are young and not so confident in yourself, you can easily get lost. The intertwining typography in the poster personifies Aduev, the main character of the play. Made at workshop of @peter_bankov Fonts in use: Suisse Int’l by @swisstypefaces Mockup by @mockup.maison
