an ordinary story

I made this conceptual poster for the play «An Ordinary story» written by the Russian classicist Ivan Goncharov in 1847. In 2015 Kirill Serebrennikov @kirillserebrennikov produced a modern staging of this play at the Gogol Center, adapting it to contemporary Russia. Even if I used bright colours in this poster, the reality is rather chaotic, deceptive and changeable, like a child’s kaleidoscope. The ugly is always hidden behind beautiful, bright packaging, and when you are young and not so confident in yourself, you can easily get lost.
