My mother is a music teacher, and she taught me to love and appreciate different types of music, as each conveys a time, era, mood and deep emotions. I have always been amazed by how music tells a story without a single word. I created this poster while listening to one of my favorite contemporary works, the album Out of Noise, 2009 by Ryuichi Sakamoto. In the film Coda, 2018, Ryuichi Sakamoto talks about musical inspirations, including his interest in ambient sounds and film scoring. This is why in my work there is noise, which is disordered and chaotic, as well as rhythm, which is measured and precise, and all this is music. We live surrounded by sounds every day but we don’t usually think of those sounds as music. But when pause and you listen closely, it can be fun and beautiful to listen.
