Waves Within EP

I designed the vinyl artwork for Waves Within, a release by Deeppa Records from Mexican producers Luca Ferrand and Selva. This record is a genre-blending triumph, where deep house meets broken beat, jazz, nu-disco, and hip-hop. Each track flows into the next, creating an immersive soundscape that feels both fresh and rooted in cultural depth. The goal of the design was to visually reflect the spirit of the music—its rhythm, warmth, and the unmistakable influence of Mexican identity. The title, Waves Within, speaks not only to sound waves but also to emotional currents and the ebb and flow of musical genres. I wanted the artwork to mirror that fluidity and movement. The typography plays a key role in this concept. It gently sways across the cover like ocean waves, symbolizing the smooth transitions and layered textures in the music. The color palette draws inspiration from coastal landscapes, sunsets, and traditional Mexican tones, blending earthy warmth with vibrant energy.
